Now a word of caution: you have to dye these outside, the bath smells really terrible!!!!
I could get same kind of greens as in experiment 2 from a number of plants by using copper as a mordant, in that sense Hydnellum ferrugineum is not a special dyemushroom (especialy when dyeing with it is not so straight forward), but we have really a lots of it here and I like to experiment. Maybe I will figure out a way to get good greens from it easily. I would like to find ways to get as many good and fast colors from mushrooms as possible with using only alum as a mordant.
